Guiseppe Getto, Ph.D., President and Founder
Guiseppe is a college professor who also consults with small businesses and non-profits from a variety of industries. His clients are people who want to develop better content, better SEO, better user experiences, better writing, better designs, and better reach for their target customers. Based on 8+ years of research and consulting with organizations ranging from non-profits to startups to established businesses, he recently founded Content Garden to help collect other consultants who are as passionate about helping small organizations as he is. RJ Thompson, Creative Director
RJ Thompson is a practicing graphic designer, graphic design educator, and entrepreneur currently teaching graphic and interactive design as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at Youngstown State University. In 2012, RJ merged his startup, Zola Design, LLC, into a new marketing, public relations, and advertising agency named Shift Collaborative, where he was co-principle and creative director for a year before selling his share in the company. Before entrepreneurship and education, RJ was a graphic designer for the H.J. Heinz Company – a Fortune 500 worldwide company. Jack Labriola, Vice President of User Experience and Content Strategy
Jack is a Ph.D. student at Texas Tech University who does freelance technical writing, social media, and content strategy. He enjoys working with a variety of organizations to help build and grow their online presence, including hospitals, startups, and universities. Jessica Getto-Rivait, Vice President of Health Communication and Project Enablement
As a 2011 Ph.D. graduate from Michigan State University’s Rhetoric and Writing program, Jessica has a diverse portfolio of experience with technical writing, health communication, and project management. Along with her academic training and experience, she also has an extensive record of working with nonprofit organizations on communication projects (such as how-to videos, grants, brochures, and WordPress websites). Joe Corcoran, Web Design, WordPress Development, and Sales
Joe has a Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Design and Development with a concentration in web development from DeVry University. He also has an Associate’s Degree in Advertising and Graphic Design from Pitt Community College. In addition to working as a WordPress designer/developer and sales associate for Content Garden, he is also a Functional Business Analyst for Vidant Health. At Vidant he works in the Information Systems department doing assessment, implementation, and upgrades for PeopleSoft applications.
Jess Boren, Graphic Design and Digital Marketing
Besides designing and marketing for Content Garden, Jess is a Digital Marketing Communication Specialist with Red Hat in Raleigh, NC. She has three Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in Marketing, Event Management, and Business Administration from Grace College, a small school in Northern Indiana. When she is not busy working, she dreams of visiting space, works on her science fiction novel, or attempts to paint.
Thomas Rusconi, Web Development and IT
Thomas Rusconi is a professional Computer Programmer with a Degree in Computer Engineering and over ten years of experience in computer programming, website development, system administration, databases, software application development, and network and server support. He graduated from the University of Milan Bicocca with a Juris Doctor Degree in 2011. He has served in Italy as an expert in Information Technology Legal Transaction for several major corporations and institutions. Thomas currently works for East Carolina University and is responsible for the IT infrastructures at The Coastal Studies Institute located in Wanchese, NC. Previously, he was the systems administrator for the Geography Department at East Carolina University. Thomas and his family recently relocated to the Outer Banks of NC and when he is not working, he enjoys time with his family and new adventures, including water sports and surfing.
Jalen Fair, Social Media Marketing and Sales
Jalen Fair is currently a senior at East Carolina University where he is studying Business Marketing. Jalen has interned at Community Crossroads Center, a non-profit organization in Greenville, NC, where he supplied content for their social media pages as well as helped establish a Google Ad Campaign of $10,000 per month through the Google Ad Grant for Non-Profits program. When he is not busy with school or work, he enjoys catching up on pop culture and musical theater news.
David Young, Content Strategy and Technical Writing
David is a Ph.D. student at Texas Tech University who studies engineering and scientific communication and does freelance technical writing. As a former chemical engineer, he enjoys engaging with technical content and helping to translate this content to usable forms for the public. He received his Master’s degree in Technical Communication and Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He also has experience authoring and editing help and service documentation for organizations, ranging from petrochemical to information security industries.
